A Quick History:
Like other immigrant groups, Germans brought their faith with them to Canada- in this case Lutheran Christians. The first to organize near Eatonia were Peace Lutheran in the Cornfeld District in Nov. 1912 and another Peace Lutheran at LaPorte in the same year. St. Paul Lutheran right in town was organized in 1918 and the other two churches eventually merged with St. Paul, meaning that all Lutherans in the Eatonia area were worshipping together. These days we use English in all our services and even non-Germans are welcome to join us ;-)! St. Paul celebrated 90 years of continuous ministry late in 2008. |
